This Privacy Policy explains how Shain (“we”, “us”, or “the App”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our AI-powered photo generation application. By using Shain, you agree to the practices described below.
You may upload photos that may include a human face (“User Content”) in order to generate AI images explicitly requested by you.
Face Data Handling: Shain processes face-related visual information only temporarily to generate the requested AI output. Face data is not shared with third parties, not stored permanently, not associated with a user’s identity, and not used for identification, profiling, analytics, advertising, or AI model training.
Shain does not collect, extract, store, or process biometric identifiers, facial recognition templates, or face embeddings. We do not identify, verify, or track users based on facial features.
We may collect limited non-personal technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, and anonymized usage data solely to improve app stability and performance.
All purchases and subscriptions are processed exclusively through the Apple App Store. We do not access or store your full payment or billing details.
We may collect anonymized analytics and crash reports to diagnose technical issues and improve user experience. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

User photos are not used for identity verification, user profiling, advertising purposes, or training AI models.
Uploaded images are transmitted securely and processed only to generate the AI output explicitly requested by the user. Processing may occur on secure servers operated by trusted infrastructure providers acting strictly on our behalf.
Any third-party infrastructure providers act solely as data processors under our instructions. They do not have independent access to face data and are contractually prohibited from storing, sharing, or using such data for any other purpose.
User-uploaded photos and generated images are stored only for the minimum time necessary to complete processing and ensure reliable delivery of results.
All face-related data is automatically deleted immediately after processing and, in all cases, within a maximum of 48 hours. We do not permanently store face data.
Face data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties. Any limited access by infrastructure providers is strictly for transient processing and does not constitute independent data sharing.
